redecorating ideas for a teen bedroom?

my room is pretty small but my parents agreed to redecorate it. i have a beige papasan (a type of seat) and i want to get white furniture, but will it work? i also have a wooden floor... any ideas would be appreciated! (colors, set up, stores, etc) i also hate all warm colors (except green)
