Teen female bedroom paint color ideas?
I'm 14, going to be 15 and we built a new house. My walls are white. I want to paint them, but I can't decide on a color. I have hardwood floors. See, I want to go with a pink, but I don't want it to look like a 6-year-old's room. I would go with purple, but I don't care for purple that much, but it might be a good idea to make my room look more retro and bold. I'll get new bedding. I also was thinking of getting like some new furniture like a chair or something. Should I go with purple or pink? And it would help if you could send a link so I know what shade your talking about. Thank you very much =) I really like this one: http://media.photobucket.com/image/teen%20bedroom/Aubrittley/teen-bedroom-decorating-ideas-2.jpg?o=94 but I have like a cherry wood bed frame... and wood furniture.

- lavender w/ cute borders
- i would go with like hot pink and like zebra bedding, but then when you dont like it anymore when its old youll regret it...but yah i would stick with the pink...
- go with pink. not baby pink though...a darker richer pink. thatd be sweet. i'd do that, and white bedding with colorful pillows. you can get a chair with a bold retro print
- I don't know. I don't like pink or purple myself. I like blues, grays, greens. But if I had to choose I would pick purple.
- i reccomend getting purple but like a berry purple color. your bed sheets can be green and your curtains can be black with bigh white pokadots. this would look awesome
- if you like pink, go for pink! i think a good way to make a pink room not look little girl-ish would be to do one wall a hot pink (or you could just do a darker pink) visually, it looks really good. this is an example of what i mean http://www.virginmedia.com/images/pink-room-gal-431x500.jpg also, accents of black make it look more grown up like this example http://www.homenashville.com/homes_frontpage/117SteeplechaseLn/images/Bedroom_Pink.jpg (even if yuo didnt take my advice and do the one wall a bolder pink, acccents of black are still a good idea to amke your room look more mature) :) :) :)
- light purple or light pink not dark because it makes the room look smaller and the more light the better because otherwise you can easily get depressed and feel claustaphobic. when i say light, i mean natural light that would reflect off your light colored walls. im not telling you to buy a thousand and one lamps. good luck :)
- I'd go with pink. Watch the video Frankie's Room 2009 on the home page. http://www.wakeupfrankie.com/ They sell most of the stuff on their website, but not some stuff like the hat boxes.
