How can I rent a bedroom in a private house in Madrid Spain for this Summer?

I going to Madrid this June planning to stay 90 days. It is too much time for paying a Hostal or even a Hostel at $15 or $20 a day. Can I beat this price renting a bedroom with a family? How do I go about it. The only web site I could find was "easypiso", but it is mainly for young people. I am 62.

2. Go to www.doorwaysltd.com . My family and I stayed at Los Jeronimos in Madrid for about 2 months and it was so nice, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Great area too.
